Refund & cancellation
How deposits, cancellations, and refunds work for Content Meadowfield consulting engagements.
Eligibility
Fees relate to professional time for internal security policy development and related advisory work. Refunds apply only to amounts paid under a written engagement letter and only where the conditions below are met.
Timeframe
Refund requests must be emailed to hello@content-meadowfield.click within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, cancellation before kickoff).
Full or partial refunds
If you cancel more than ten business days before the agreed kickoff and no drafting has started, prepaid discovery or deposit fees are refundable in full. If discovery interviews or drafting have begun, we refund the unused portion after deducting time already worked at the rates in the engagement letter.
Non-refundable items
Completed deliverables (accepted drafts, final policy packs, delivered briefing sessions) are non-refundable. Third-party costs we incur at your written request, such as venue hire for on-site briefings, are non-refundable once committed.
Process & timing
We confirm eligibility in writing within five business days of receiving a complete request. Approved refunds are processed within 15 business days to the original payment method where possible.
Cancellation & rescheduling
Either party may reschedule workshops with at least five business days’ notice without a cancellation fee. Shorter notice may incur a session fee if facilitators or travel were already committed. Repeated no-shows for booked briefings may be billed as delivered sessions.
Work already started
When drafting is underway, you remain responsible for fees covering completed stages. We will provide a status summary and transfer working files for stages you have paid for.
Deposits
Deposits secure scheduling. They convert to fees as milestones complete. Unused deposit balances after a valid cancellation follow the refund rules above.
Exceptions
If Content Meadowfield cancels an engagement for reasons other than client breach, you may choose a full refund of unearned fees or a rescheduled start date.
